Position : Software Specialist

Salary : RM 3,000 - RM 4,500

Location : Desa Aman Puri, Kepong

Working Days : 8.30am – 5.30pm / Mon – Fri

Job Summary

The Software Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized software solutions based on customer requirements. This role works closely with the Application Support and R&D teams to ensure high-quality delivery, system stability, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions based on customer requirements and customization needs.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and propose suitable system enhancements or new features.
• Prepare technical documentation, including system specification and customization documents.
• Develop and maintain test data and support testing activities for new releases and system updates.
• Participate in product demonstrations for both new and existing customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve testing processes, system quality, and efficiency.
• Work closely with the R&D team to resolve bugs and deliver system enhancements.
• Provide L1 and L2 technical support, including troubleshooting and data correction when required (including after-office-hours support for urgent cases).
• Perform any other tasks or projects assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, support, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience in software testing and test case execution.
• Good knowledge of SQL is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with both technical teams and customers.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, web servers, or virtual machines (VM) is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
