Position Summary
Maintenance Technician
Duties
- To oversee production activities.
- To complete scheduled maintenance tasks.
- To report breakdown or unusual machine conditions to the Plant Engineer or Production Manager as necessary.
- To ensure reports are written up and submitted to Plant Engineer as required.
- To carry out safety checks and report any of malfunction safety device to the Plant Engineer or Production Manager.
- To employ and ensure safe working practices are followed on site.
- Provision of emergency breakdown cover.
- To ensure site repairs are completed in a timely manner with minimum disruption to production.
- To supervise and control external engineering contract work on site.
- To secure the workshop, stores and restricted areas.
- To perform any reasonable request in respect of the efficient running of the site.
- To stop process or to make minor correction within competence limits.
- To ensure inventory of spares is complete with relevance to the STERIS facility, plant and equipment.
- To ensure and comply to company rules policies and SOPs.

Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED in Electrical Engineering
Vocational/Technical in Electrical Engineering
Required Experience
2 years working experience
