Job Description – Steward
A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and food service areas. The role supports the kitchen and service team by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and work areas are properly cleaned and ready for use.
Main Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and sanitize all kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, and cutlery.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dishwashing stations, and storage areas.
- Assist in basic kitchen preparations when required (e.g., peeling, cleaning ingredients).
- Dispose of waste and manage garbage according to hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper stock of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn.
- Able to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Team player with good work ethic.
- Previous experience in F&B or kitchen operations is an advantage but not required.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
