Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures smooth daily warehouse activities, maintains stock accuracy, enforces safety standards, and leads the warehouse team to achieve operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor warehouse space utilization and optimize storage layout.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor staff performance.
- Ensure discipline and productivity within the warehouse team.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of warehouse.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with legal and operational requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare warehouse reports including stock movement, discrepancies, and operational performance.
- Maintain proper filing of warehouse documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments on stock requirements and deliveries.
Coordination & Planning
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics teams.
- Plan manpower and workflow to meet operational demands.
- Handle urgent delivery arrangements when necessary.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.
- Recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in warehouse operations.
- At least 2 years in managerial / supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse systems.
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and warehouse management systems.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
