PDI World is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import / Export Coordinator to manage international shipment operations, export documentation, logistics coordination, and trade finance processes across global markets. This role involves close coordination with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, banks, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of import and export activities from order confirmation through final delivery and payment realization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end export and import shipment operations under Incoterms such as FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW, and FCA.
- Manage vessel bookings, shipment schedules, cargo readiness, freight coordination, shipment tracking, and operational issue resolution.
- Prepare and process export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Shipping Instructions, Certificates of Origin, and related shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, customer specifications, and banking requirements.
- Handle trade finance and payment processes including Letters of Credit (LC), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), and Open Account transactions.
- Review LC terms, coordinate document negotiation with banks, resolve discrepancies, and support payment collection processes.
- Maintain accurate operational records and shipment data within ERP systems such as SAP throughout the Order-to-Cash cycle.
- Act as the primary operational liaison between sales teams, customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, port agents, warehouses, suppliers, and finance teams.
- Provide timely shipment updates, documentation support, and high-level customer service to international clients across multiple regions.
- Support internal process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, shipment accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of export/import procedures, ocean freight operations, shipping documentation, and international trade processes.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, customs procedures, and trade finance instruments is an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience in trading, logistics, shipping, or export operations is a plus.
