Application Support Analyst / Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst / Engineer to provide support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance for business-critical applications. The role involves working closely with technical, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure application stability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Application Monitoring & Support
- Monitor application performance, availability, and system health
- Perform routine maintenance, patches, upgrades, and backups
- Ensure compliance with operational and security standards
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve application-related incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Escalate complex issues to development or infrastructure teams
User & Operational Support
- Provide application support and guidance to end users
- Develop and maintain support documentation and user guides
- Support production resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with development, manufacturing, engineering, and automation teams
- Participate in release validation, deployments, and system improvements
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and process enhancement
Key Skills & Experience
Must Have
- 3–5 years of experience in Application Support / Production Support
- Strong understanding of application architecture and databases
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Big Data solutions
- Basic programming/scripting knowledge in .NET, JavaScript, Python, C#, or C++
- Experience with ticketing systems and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of incident management and root cause analysis
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to work onsite and provide on-call support when required
Good to Have
- Experience with REST APIs, backend services, SQL & NoSQL databases
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with cross-functional business and engineering teams
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery processes
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Exposure to AWS / Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix
- Understanding of security and compliance best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Ideal for candidates with strong troubleshooting and application support experience in enterprise or manufacturing environments.
