Job Summary
The Associate – Interpretation Support role is responsible for providing skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation services. The role involves working under direct supervision while following established policies, procedures, and interpreter protocols. Candidates are expected to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate accuracy, and support multilingual communication effectively.

- Mandarin / Cantonese – Read, Write & Speak
- English – Read, Write & Speak
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate meaning-for-meaning interpretation.
- Follow interpreter protocols, training guidelines, company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to interpreter ethics standards.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Continuously improve vocabulary and subject matter knowledge for client requirements.
- Use standard office equipment such as:
- Telephone
- Computer
- Copier
- Fax machine
- Utilize MS Office applications including:
- Outlook
- Word
- Edge or other internet browsers
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and timely task completion.
- Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Escalate non-routine issues to supervisors when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese and English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of linguistics and cultural differences
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations
