Job Summary
Lead and manage terminal shift operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance while supervising personnel, conducting training, and coordinating emergency responses.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operational activities during assigned shifts to ensure safe and efficient terminal performance
- Supervise and guide shift personnel to follow operational procedures, safety practices, and quality standards
- Conduct on-the-job training and develop competencies for shift team members to enhance performance
- Enforce strict compliance with approved operating procedures and company policies to maintain operational integrity
- Execute operational directives issued by the Operations Manager or designated authority promptly and accurately
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams and relevant departments to support coordinated operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shift operations for accountability and reporting
- Perform routine inspections and field patrols to identify and address operational issues proactively
- Oversee terminal safety measures and coordinate emergency response actions to minimize risks
- Act as the first line incident controller during emergencies to manage situations effectively
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and promptly address equipment defects to maintain operational readiness
- Supervise safe berthing and unberthing operations to protect personnel and assets
- Monitor product custody transfer processes and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Conduct performance evaluations and annual appraisals to support staff development and operational excellence
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or higher in Chemical, Petrochemical, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in terminal or industrial operations
- Strong understanding of terminal operations and safety systems
