Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for carrying out blending, filling, packaging, and material handling activities safely and efficiently within the lubrication blending plant. This role ensures production tasks are completed according to operational procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules while maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
• Perform blending, filling, packaging, and material handling activities according to SOP.
• Prepare equipment, hoses, pumps, and production lines before operations.
• Carry out product transfers between blending tanks and holding tanks.
• Submit blending tank samples and filling line samples according to quality procedures to ensure products meet specification requirements before release.
• Operate filling lines, blending systems, and associated production equipment.
• Ensure production output meets quality and quantity requirements.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational standards.
• Ensure proper handling of base oil, additives, lubricants, and packaging materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping within production areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment abnormalities, and quality concerns immediately.
• Support compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
Operational Support
• Support tank farm activities and material preparation.
• Verify raw materials and packaging materials before use.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, flushing, and changeover activities.
• Support stock takes and inventory verification activities when required.
Documentation
• Complete production records, checklists, and operational forms accurately.
• Record batch numbers, material usage, and operational data correctly.
• Ensure proper traceability of materials and finished products.
Continuous Improvement
• Participate in operational improvement initiatives.
• Suggest ideas to improve productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Support reduction of waste, downtime, and operational losses.
• Participate in training and skill development programs.
Requirements
Education
• NITEC / Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, lubricants, chemicals, or process industry is preferred.
• Experience operating blending or filling equipment is an advantage.
• Fresh candidates with relevant technical background may also be considered.
Skills & Competencies
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and operational processes.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
• Basic forklift or material handling experience is an advantage.
