Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal accurately, ensuring optimal material usage and maintaining machine performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Set up, adjust, and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications and production requirements.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cutting plans to ensure accurate cutting of sheet metal materials.

• Perform machine parameter settings including speed, power, and cutting path optimization.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards and production efficiency are achieved.

• Conduct routine daily inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of laser cutting machines.

• Record and maintain accurate daily production reports, including material usage and cutting output.

• Manage and track material inventory, including balance materials, and ensure maximum utilization to reduce waste.

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.

• Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with workplace standards.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve productivity and workflow.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Leader.

Key Skills :

• Minimum SPM / Technical Certificate or related field.

• At least 2 years of working experience in operating laser cutting machines.

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication environment.

• Proven experience operating laser cutting machines (eg. CNC laser cutting) is preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

• Good record-keeping and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if required.
