Role Overview

The Quality Technician is responsible for establishing, controlling, and conducting inspection and test activities in strict accordance with specified requirements. This includes the execution of inspection procedures, methods, and frequencies while maintaining the integrity of sample sizes as defined in the quality plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Measurement Standard Operation procedure.

• Conduct Measurement for raw material, Work in progress and Finish goods at Development and mass production stage.

• Conduct training and perform analytical through quality tool (eg. Gauge 1, Gauge Repeatability & reproducibility, Statistical Process Control, PPK & CPK).

• Maintain equipment calibration and verification.

• Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance.

• Guide and lead a team of QA leader and inspectors to ensure the smooth operations of IQC, IPQC and OQC inspection and test system to achieve the department objectives, organization quality policy and objectives.

• Conduct product and process audit to ensure that all the inspection and test procedures / methods are strictly followed by all inspectors.

• Plan, schedule and conduct on job training and education programs for all new and existing QA leaders and inspectors to ensure their understanding of the inspection / test requirements, and their competence in defect detection and inspection judgment.

• Work with Quality Engineer on the strategies / plans to upgrade in-house, suppliers and subcontractors’ quality performance.

• Implement and maintain a suitable working environment for his / her subordinates through the implementation of 5S and safety requirement.

• Recommend solutions for the improvement on quality, productivity and work efficiency to increase customer satisfaction.

• Perform any job as and when requested by the superior.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma in Engineering/related field or above.

• Minimum 2 years working experience in Quality control or Quality Assurance.

• Fundamental understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO14001

• Technical knowledge in measurement, verification, auditing, Drawing & Product Specification, Minitab software v. Geometric, Dimensional and tolerance, PPK & CPK foundation

• Handling measuring equipment such as Coordinated Measuring Machine, Video Scope, Digital, Analog, Vernier caliper & gauge.
