About The Company

Our client is a dominant force in the Heavy Machining Manufacturing sector, known for delivering high-precision engineering solutions to global partners. Due to a strategic push to enhance their supply chain efficiency and support a growing pipeline of industrial projects, they are looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing division and drive cost-optimization strategies.

About The Job

As the Procurement Manager, you will be the primary driver for sourcing and contract management. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and vet reliable suppliers and contractors for raw materials and machining components to maximize project savings and profit margins.
  • Contract Management: Lead negotiations and follow up on all pre- and post-contract management, ensuring all terms (including LOAs and addendums) favor the company's interests.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare cost studies, feasibility reports, and monthly cash flow forecasts to maintain strict budget control.
  • Operational Excellence: Verify purchase requisitions, propose value engineering alternatives, and evaluate/setup proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline the procurement process.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production departments to ensure on-time delivery of materials and smooth project execution

About The Manager/team

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director. You will be tasked with developing and mentoring your own procurement team to support the company's regional expansion plans, acting as both a hands-on leader and a strategic advisor.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Education: Minimum of a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Industry Expertise: At least 8 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, specifically within the manufacturing or heavy industries.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in starting up or developing a procurement team is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of contract terms, negotiation tactics, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Resilience: Able to work independently under high pressure and manage tight production timelines.
