Home for over 3 million local and international songwriters. We’re a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting our members who are songwriters. We help them get paid for their awesome music by collecting royalties.We provide legal avenues for music usage to ensure our members are paid whenever their music is played, performed, downloaded or streamed by businesses, event organisers, broadcast stations and any individuals.We support them by influencing policy, investing in learning programmes, and hosting networking events.
As a Membership Executive for the Members’ Communication & Public Affairs department, you will be assisting with the following:
- Recruit and onboard prospective members by identifying, approaching, and guiding them through the membership application requirements and process.
- Provide clear explanations to members about basic copyright principles, best practices, and the benefits of MACP membership.
- Attract, plan, coordinate and engage prospective members through outreach networking, direct calls, and social media.
- Ensure all membership applications and accompanying documents are properly compiled, accurately reviewed and complies with the latest membership guidelines.
- Register and regularly update verified information of members e.g. personal information and bank account details into the members portal and other related systems.
- Coordinate with members to provide updates and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to support membership-related processes such as Distribution and Licensing.
- Handle related administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient management of the company.
- Execute workshops, seminars, and promotional campaigns aligned with company’s objectives.
- Develop creative ideas and strategies to enhance member engagement to support company’s growth.
- Conduct post-mortem report for past events and programs for future improvements.
- Attend to any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the Manager – Members Affairs
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing/ communication/ office management, or any related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other membership management
- Software such as content relations management (CRM).
- Ability to work efficiently with large data and manage membership databases with speed and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, pro-active, result driven and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Work Experience:
- 1–2 years in customer relations, or administrative roles preferred; fresh graduates with strong enthusiasm are also welcomed.
