The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for developing conceptual engineering solutions for industrial gas projects, ensuring optimal design, cost efficiency, and long-term operational performance. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial evaluation, and business development, supporting early-stage project development and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and industrial process needs, translating them into viable engineering solutions
- Lead the development of conceptual designs and solution options during early project phases
- Evaluate different gas production and supply technologies, identifying the most effective approach
- Perform technical and economic assessments, including development of capital estimates and lifecycle cost evaluations
- Develop process simulations and engineering models to optimise plant concepts and performance
- Identify and assess technical and commercial risks, supporting overall business case development
- Collaborate closely with business development, operations, and project teams to ensure alignment across functions
- Support the preparation of technical proposals and client presentations
- Provide input into commercial strategies, project feasibility studies, and contract structuring
- Ensure proposed solutions are operationally robust, efficient, and scalable

Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
- More than 10 years of experience in process engineering, industrial plants, or energy/infrastructure projects
- Strong background in process design, simulation, and technical evaluation of large-scale facilities
- Good understanding of project economics, cost estimation, and financial drivers
- Experience working on complex, capital-intensive projects, ideally in industrial gases, energy, chemicals, or similar sectors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate both technical and commercial trade-offs
- Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
