The Banquet Audio Visual Executive is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems for events, with a strong focus on LED wall/screen systems. This role ensures seamless technical execution for banquets, conferences, and large-scale productions, minimizing downtime through effective diagnostics and rapid problem resolution.
Job Description:
- Handle the day-to-day setting up of audio visual and media. equipment according to the operations requirements.
- Conduct routine checks on all equipment in the function rooms prior to the events.
- Ensure that all equipment are tested and in good operating condition at all times.
- Ensure successful execution of event presentations and maintain guests’ satisfaction.
- Work hand in hand with the Banquet Operations and various departments in day to day operations.
- To carry out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of all operating equipment
- Set necessary equipment in function rooms, including outdoor catering events; as directed in the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- To assist guests in the setup and dismantling of any AV equipment brought in for the event.
- Assist as required with any other related task assigned by event in-charge.
- Adhere standard operating procedures/guideline and comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Requirements
- Has technical knowledge on setting up of all audio visual, requirements and be well-equipped on modern technologies of audio visual equipment.
- Basic understanding of LED screen / AV system setup and operation, able to perform troubleshooting (signal loss, display issues, cabling) and familiar with video connections (HDMI, SDI, LAN).
- Experience in diagnose and resolve LED display issues, such as dead pixels, panel failure / signal loss, "no display" issues / colour inconsistency, brightness mismatch and etc.
- Experience in troubleshoot power supply units and redundancy systems, perform module replacement and panel swapping, and etc.
