Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise applications in complex production environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux, Oracle/SQL-based applications, incident management, and production support within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 production support for enterprise-critical applications
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, batch failures, and application issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with development/infrastructure teams for permanent fixes
  • Support application deployments, change activities, and post-release validation
  • Monitor application and batch performance using enterprise monitoring tools
  • Handle on-call support activities and critical incident escalations
  • Ensure SLA compliance for incidents and service requests
  • Work closely with stakeholders, support teams, and business users

Mandatory Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Application/Production Support
  • Strong hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux environment
  • Strong SQL and Oracle database troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in Shell Scripting and batch job monitoring
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Splunk, Grafana, Netcool, or similar enterprise monitoring tools
  • Experience handling high-priority production incidents in enterprise environments
  • Good understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
  • Experience working in 24x7 production support model

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting banking, telecom, or financial applications
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale production environments
  • Ability to coordinate with offshore/onshore teams
