Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise applications in complex production environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux, Oracle/SQL-based applications, incident management, and production support within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 production support for enterprise-critical applications
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, batch failures, and application issues
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with development/infrastructure teams for permanent fixes
- Support application deployments, change activities, and post-release validation
- Monitor application and batch performance using enterprise monitoring tools
- Handle on-call support activities and critical incident escalations
- Ensure SLA compliance for incidents and service requests
- Work closely with stakeholders, support teams, and business users
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Application/Production Support
- Strong hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux environment
- Strong SQL and Oracle database troubleshooting experience
- Experience in Shell Scripting and batch job monitoring
- Hands-on experience with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Splunk, Grafana, Netcool, or similar enterprise monitoring tools
- Experience handling high-priority production incidents in enterprise environments
- Good understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
- Experience working in 24x7 production support model
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting banking, telecom, or financial applications
- Exposure to enterprise-scale production environments
- Ability to coordinate with offshore/onshore teams
