Position: Early Intervention Therapist (Special Needs / Autism)
Salary: RM2,400 – RM3,200
Working Days: Saturday – Wednesday
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: Autism Gym Centre (Shah Alam)

Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention Therapist to support children with special needs, particularly autism, in their developmental journey.
In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and deliver structured therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and parents to ensure holistic and consistent progress for each child.
This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, nurturing, and passionate about making a meaningful impact on children’s development and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct developmental and functional assessments to identify each child’s strengths and needs
2. Design and implement individualized intervention plans based on therapeutic goals
3. Deliver one-to-one and small group therapy sessions using approaches such as ABA, play-based therapy, sensory integration, and communication strategies
4. Support children’s development in behaviour regulation, communication, motor skills, and daily living skills
5. Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behaviour therapists, and parents for coordinated intervention
6. Track progress, prepare therapy reports, and adjust intervention plans when needed
7. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team discussions
8. Ensure proper care of students including hygiene, nutrition, and overall wellbeing
9. Maintain student safety during therapy sessions, pick-up/drop-off, and throughout their time in the centre
10. Conduct assessments during therapy sessions and discuss appropriate IEP programs with the Head of Department
Requirements
1. Minimum Diploma or Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field
2. Experience working with children with autism or special needs is an advantage
3. Able to follow structured therapy programs and guidelines
4. Willing to learn and attend training sessions
5. Responsible and able to handle children with care and professionalism
