Job Summary
The Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth for Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) and energy optimisation solutions in Malaysia.
This role requires a consultative approach where the incumbent will engage directly with landlords, building owners, and facilities management teams to analyse building energy usage, identify inefficiencies, and recommend suitable sustainability solutions.
The role will focus on promoting services such as Green Mark certification, energy audits, and sustainability initiatives that help clients improve operational efficiency and achieve green building certifications.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within commercial buildings, property owners, landlords, and facilities management sectors
Build strong relationships with landlords, building owners, facilities managers, and key stakeholders
Conduct site visits to assess air-conditioning usage, building energy consumption, and operational inefficiencies
Analyse client requirements and recommend suitable energy-saving and sustainability solutions
Promote Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) solutions including Green Mark certification, energy audits, and related sustainability services
Prepare proposals, quotations, project costing, and presentations for clients
Manage tender submissions and contract negotiations where required
Work closely with the ESD and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet client needs
Support project handover and maintain client relationships throughout project execution
Participate in networking events and business development activities to generate leads and expand market presence

Requirements
2-5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, engineering sales, HVAC/ACMV, or sustainability-related industries is preferred
Candidates with experience engaging landlords, developers, building owners, or facilities managers are highly preferred
Strong understanding of energy optimisation, air-conditioning systems, or sustainability solutions is an advantage
Knowledge of Green Mark, GreenRE, GBI, or green building certifications is a plus
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Mandarin speaking ability is an added advantage
Educational background is open (Engineering background preferred but not mandatory)
