IC CAD Engineer (support Virtuoso ADE and Spectre simulation)

About the Role

As an IC CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Virtuoso ADE and Spectre simulation in a custom design environment. You will work independently on Virtuoso ADE and Spectre simulation tool issues. You will collaborate with senior CAD team members to verify existing setups for new technology enablement, improve current setups for a better user experience, and provide user support to meet design deliverable schedules. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our custom CAD flows.

Responsibilities

• Support Virtuoso ADE and Spectre simulation JIRA cases across multiple sites
• Work independently with vendors to resolve tool bugs in a timely manner
• Enhance overall user experience through AI agent integration
• Maintain and improve Virtuoso ADE and Spectre tool quality through CAD improvements
• Build regression testbenches to maintain CAD tool and flow quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Required Skills

• In-depth experience with Virtuoso ADE and Spectre simulation tools
• Experience with Claude agent creation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl
