Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Governance Associate located in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparation and filing documents with government authorities such as the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), and other related agencies
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients and handle company secretarial matters
  • Ensure statutory records, registers, and filings are properly maintained and kept up to date
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries and request
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and other special applications such as CIDB, MOF, and others
  • Support the team with ad-hoc corporate governance matters and other compliance-related matters as required


Qualifications

  • Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Corporate Administration, Business Administration, Law, Governance, Accounting, or related field
  • Relevant certification such as MAICSA are a plus 
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience 
  • Proficiency with corporate secretarial software Superior ComSec
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of Companies Act, CCM filings, board resolutions, governance procedures, and compliance for businesses in Malaysia 
  • Proficiency in using office software and technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
  • Ability to manage multiple portfolios efficiently 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
