Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Global Payroll Analyst (BPO) located in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Global Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing global payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, handling payroll taxes and garnishments, and performing payroll reconciliations. The role involves using analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, validating data for accuracy, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to enhance payroll processes.
Job Description
Payroll Analyst
- Responsible to process monthly payroll, which include salary, overtime, incentive, bonuses, allowance, leave, taxes and various payroll deductions as well as maintain employee’s data/payroll records.
- Responsible for performing analytical reviews of payroll transactions to identify errors and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure Accuracy and Timeliness of payroll processing function in accordance with Service Level Agreement.
- Responsible in preparing monthly and yearly statutory report and performing the submission timely and accurately. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and keep abreast of current legislation.
- Validate payroll reports, preparation of bank file and payslip to employees.
- Work in collaboration with other team members to establish and maintain a confidential and sensitive work environment, focusing on customer service by handling all customer requests in a professional manner.
- Act as a backup for the other team members to deliver and manage customers' expectations as and when required.
- Ensure all unsolved & potential issues are escalated timely with detailed analysis clearly described to the ticketing system within the standard escalation process.
- Ensure all employees’ queries on payroll related issues are tracked, monitor and resolved promptly to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Payroll Administration, including payroll processes and systems.
- Proficiency in handling Payroll Taxes and managing Garnishments effectively.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in payroll data.
- Basic knowledge of Accounting principles and their application to payroll operations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with global payroll operations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Education
- Preferably graduate with a Bachelor’s degree
Working Experience:
- With minimum 1-2 years of Payroll/HR experience.
- Preferably familiar with ERP Systems Application (SAP).
- Good customer-service skills with an ability to handle multiple transactions and customer requests.
- Experience in processing Global payroll in Outsourcing/Share Service environment is an added advantage.
- Strong processing skills and analytical ability (inclination for Mathematics/ Finance/ Problem solving).
- Functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e. Words, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, write and speak in Mandarin, English or any Asian languages.
