Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of site-specific WSH safety plans, policies, programmes, and initiatives.
Explain and enforce WSH compliance requirements, proper work practices, and the correct use of PPE among employees and contractors.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and monitoring of work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Identify hazards, assess WSH risks, execute Risk Management (RM) plans, conduct Risk Assessments (RA), and ensure all RM/RA documentation is properly maintained.
Collect, maintain, and analyse safety data, records, and documentation, including inspections, training, incidents, and audit reports.
Address, guide, and report instances of WSH non-compliance, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices, and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate, manage, and report accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents, and implement immediate, corrective, and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Organize and lead safety meetings, briefings, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.
Follow and enforce site Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRPs), including alerting relevant parties during emergencies and incident escalation.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Stay updated on local safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and assist with safety documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
