The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the restaurant or outlet, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth workflow, and efficient coordination between service and kitchen teams. The role includes leading service staff, handling guest concerns, and maintaining service standards in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operation of the assigned outlet during shifts.
• Lead, guide, and support service team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently and professionally.
• Conduct daily briefing and communicate important updates to the team.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely food and beverage service.
• Assist in training new employees on service standards and operating procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management of any shortages or operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety regulations.
• Prepare reports or assist management with operational documentation when required.
• Support cashiering duties and outlet closing/opening procedures when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in F&B service or supervisory role.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Customer service oriented with positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
