Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, with particular emphasis on finance processes, payment authorization workflows, and construction project management controls.
Design, improve, and implement robust internal control procedures to strengthen governance, ensure regulatory compliance, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate risks.
Maintain and update control documentation, including control manuals, process maps, and risk-control matrices, to ensure controls remain scalable, consistent, and repeatable across the organization.
Plan, develop, and execute internal audit plans and methodologies, encompassing annual and ad-hoc risk assessments as well as end-to-end audit engagements.
Perform periodic audits and thematic reviews of key operational processes to assess policy compliance, evaluate control effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Conduct year-end and ad-hoc operational reviews to confirm that day-to-day processes adhere to established internal controls.
Prepare clear, concise, and professional audit reports with practical and actionable recommendations.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive remediation efforts, monitor implementation progress, and ensure timely resolution of findings.
Promote a strong internal control culture through training, targeted communications, and system enhancements that increase risk awareness across business and frontline teams.
Requirements:
Degree or above in accounting, finance, risk management, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit or internal control from real estate, construction or developer companies.
Candidates with Big Four audit training experience is highly preferred
Holder of qualified accountant CPA (HKICPA / CPA Australia / ACCA / AICPA). ·
Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
