Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement corporate logistics strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, and performance alignment across logistics operations.
Oversee end-to-end logistics activities, including booking, transportation, and delivery execution.
Translate client shipping requirements into clear vendor guidelines and ensure adherence.
Monitor, analyze, and resolve complex logistics issues impacting service, cost, or risk.
Develop and manage logistics budgets, identifying and driving cost-reduction initiatives.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key logistics service providers.
Ensure full compliance with customs regulations and import/export controls.
Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including supply disruptions, carrier dependency, and geopolitical factors.
Lead the implementation and optimization of logistics systems to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with IT on digital transformation and automation initiatives.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align logistics capabilities with broader business objectives.
Provide insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior management.
Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team through coaching and training.
Support ad hoc projects and business needs as required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or shipping operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in logistics management.
Experience working with a wide range of freight forwarders and logistics providers.
Solid understanding of US/EU customs requirements, trade compliance, and vendor compliance (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
Occasional travel to the Shenzhen office is required.
