Room Attendant / Housekeeping Attendant

Location: Hotel Bencoolen
Employment Type: Full-Time (1-Year Contract, Renewable Subject to Performance and Operational Requirements)

Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and assigned areas are maintained to the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards, providing guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards and procedures.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and corridors.
• Ensure bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Report maintenance defects, damaged items, or missing items promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping trolleys and pantry areas are kept clean and organized.
• Handle guests’ belongings with care and maintain guest privacy at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and ad-hoc housekeeping duties when required.
• Support operations at other company-assigned properties when operationally required.
• Follow workplace safety, hygiene, and hotel SOP standards at all times.

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to perform manual housekeeping duties.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Prior hotel housekeeping experience will be an advantage but not mandatory.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Team player with good work ethic.

Contract Terms

• This position is offered on a 1-year contract basis.
• Renewal of contract will be subject to employee performance, attendance, work attitude, and operational requirements at the end of the contract period.
