About Elder Education Department

Elder Education Department provides a gamut of active ageing programmes that reaches out to seniors in the community. To encourage seniors to maintain active lifestyles, the department offers a wide variety of programmes to promote lifelong learning, healthy living, social networking and inter-generational bonding. Their efforts to encourage seniors to adopt digital technology is a key thrust to give seniors more options – in the way they receive information and how they communicate with others. The department believes that learning never stops.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the centre.
• Attend to phone calls, walk-ins, and general enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting programmes, activities, and outreach initiatives for seniors.
• Provide administrative and clerical support, including documentation, filing, and general office tasks.
• Support logistical needs of programmes and services, including liaising with partners, vendors, and contractors.
• Collect, update, and maintain accurate data in centre systems.
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures and participate in emergency response exercises.
• Adhere to organisational financial management and procurement processes as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective functioning of the centre.

Requirements:

• Minimum O Levels.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably with an interest and passion for working with the elderly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting seniors and community programmes.
• This position is on a contract basis and is Part-Time
