Role Description

We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who doesn't just write good code — but actively uses AI to ship faster and build smarter.

This is a full-time, hybrid position for a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Edvance.

What You'll Work On

• Integrate and extend our platform capabilities
• Build automation tools
• Develop AI-powered features and work across our full stack — from database logic to clean, functional front-end interfaces

Payment Systems Knowledge

Since Edvance operates at the intersection of fintech and edtech, familiarity with payment infrastructure is a meaningful advantage:

• Experience integrating payment gateways (e.g. Stripe, Billplz, iPay88, Curlec, or similar)
• Understanding of payment flows — invoicing, reconciliation, refunds, and settlement cycles
• Familiarity with recurring billing and subscription management
• Knowledge of local Malaysian payment rails (FPX, DuitNow) is a strong plus
• Awareness of PCI-DSS compliance requirements and secure handling of payment data
• Experience building fee collection or billing-related features in a SaaS or platform context

What We're Looking For

• Strong full-stack experience (Node.js / Python / React or similar)
• Strong expertise in Full-Stack Development
• Comfortable working with third-party APIs
• Knows how to effectively prompt and direct AI tools to accelerate development — not someone who blindly accepts AI output, nor someone who ignores AI entirely. We want engineers who use AI as a sharp tool, not a crutch.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in your development workflow (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.)
• Bonus: experience with automation tools like n8n, Make, or Zapier
• Bonus: familiarity with building chat interfaces or real-time messaging systems
• Bonus: experience with Go (Golang) or Next.js
• Self-directed and can move fast with a clear brief
• Proficiency in Front-End Development, including expertise in CSS
• Proven experience in Software Development and delivering scalable applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Understanding of software development best practices, version control tools, and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with security standards to ensure safe and secure applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience with financial services technology or education-focused platforms is a plus
