We are hiring Open to Fresh Grad Electrical Engineering
PI Field Engineer
Location: Axiata Tower, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
Contract: 12 months
Salary:RM3,500 (fresh graduate with degree)
Negotiable for candidates with railway industry experience
Education:
Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (preferred)
Role Summary:
The PI Field Engineer supports Product Introduction (PI) activities in a railway environment, handling testing, warranty, and troubleshooting work to ensure trains meet safety, quality, and performance standards. The role works closely with clients, engineering teams, and external experts to support train commissioning, testing schedules, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute Product Introduction (PI), testing, and warranty activities per approved procedures and schedules
Conduct daily toolbox meetings, client briefings, and prepare daily/weekly technical reports
Perform train testing in accordance with Bombardier Test Procedures and prepare Test Reports (BTR)
Troubleshoot and rectify warranty/testing failures, identify root causes, and prevent repeat issues
Coordinate work permits (WP), occupancy clearances (OC), and train movements
Raise and manage work orders in Maximo for warranty and part replacements
Liaise with Engineering, QA, suppliers, and OEMs to resolve critical technical issues
Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure sufficient support for testing and warranty activities
Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, HSE, and client LOS requirements
Highlight risks that may impact schedule, RAMS targets, or project delivery
Ideal Candidate Profile
Electrical & Electronic Engineering graduate
Experience in railway / rolling stock / train systems is an advantage
Strong hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and fault analysis skills
Comfortable working shifts and in depot/field environments
Good communication skills for client and cross‑functional coordination
