JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Finance will lead and oversee all financial operations and strategic financial initiatives of the organization. This role will manage a team responsible for financial reporting and compliance, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, internal audit, ERP systems, as well as corporate finance activities including fundraising, investor relations and strategic planning.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles and responsibilities may include a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
Financial Operations
- Lead and oversee day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Management and Development
- Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, including Accounts Payables and Receivables, Financial Reporting and Compliance, Budgeting and Forecasting, ERP, Treasury Manager, Internal Audit and others as applicable.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
- Develop and mentor finance team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance department.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Direct the budgeting and forecasting processes to support operational planning and strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for decision-making purposes.
Treasury and Cash Management
- Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, banking relationships, investment strategies, debt management, and risk management.
- Ensure optimal utilization of cash resources and liquidity planning.
Financial Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including managing relationships with auditors and regulatory authorities.
ERP System Management
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the ERP system to support efficient financial operations and reporting.
Corporate Finance
- Lead fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, to support the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Develop and execute strategic financial plans, including mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance initiatives.
Strategic Planning and Analysis
- Lead strategic financial planning initiatives and provide analysis of financial performance against key business metrics.
- Conduct market research and analysis to support growth and expansion strategies.
