Job Purpose

To ensure the quality, compliance, and readiness of fabricated machinery and processing systems while maintaining accurate and controlled Bill of Materials (BOM) within the ERP system. This role bridges Quality Control and Engineering Support to ensure products are built to specification and delivered ready for shipment, installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control

• Develop and execute inspection plans, quality checklists, and acceptance criteria for fabricated equipment.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and handover documentation for shipment and customer acceptance.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production to resolve quality and technical issues.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) when required.

Bill of Materials & ERP Management

• Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for machines, ancillaries, and processing systems.
• Ensure BOM structure aligns with drawings, specifications, and manufacturing methods.
• Maintain BOM accuracy, revision control, and item master data in the ERP system.
• Support procurement and production planning through correct material coding and controlled substitutions.
• Implement engineering changes by updating BOMs and related documentation.

General Duties

• Ensure shipment readiness through completed inspections and quality documentation.
• Represent the company professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform ad-hoc and other duties as assigned by management.

Authority & Decision Rights

• Reject or hold non-compliant materials or fabricated items until corrective action is completed.
• Raise non-conformance reports and request corrective actions.
• Approve BOM updates within defined limits and escalate when required.
• Stop shipment release when quality or documentation requirements are not met.

Reports to: Engineering Manager / Operations Manager

Works closely with: Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project Teams
