About the role

The Machine Technician role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, diagnosing and executing repairs on malfunctioning machines, assisting with installation and setup of new equipment, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Technician

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation.

· Inspect machines regularly to identify and address potential issues before they cause significant problems.

· Clean and lubricate machines as needed to maintain operational efficiency.

Troubleshooting and Repair

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and equipment.

· Execute repairs on malfunctioning machine, including replacing or repairing defective parts.

· Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical problems.

Installation and Setup

· Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.

· Calibrate and adjust machines to meet production specifications and quality standards.

Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance.

· Report major issues or required repairs to the Maintenance Manager or Production Supervisor.

· Update maintenance logs and contribute to maintenance planning and improvement strategies.

Safety and Compliance

· Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working on machinery and equipment.

· Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

· Conduct safety inspections and report hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaboration and Communication

· Work closely with production staff to understand machine performance and address issues promptly.

· Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance activities and machine status.
