Job Responsibilities

• Provide routine Outpatient and Inpatient dispensing services to ensure prescriptions are promptly read and appropriate information is entered into the computer system to generate accurate prescription labels, profiles and charges.
• Pick and review Outpatient and Inpatient prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in drug issue and counseling for Outpatients under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform aseptic dispensing services in accordance with departmental guidelines and procedures under pharmacist supervision.
• Pick ward-stock items including medical gases to all wards and departments upon their requisition.
• Perform Pharmacy working store replenishment, physical stock count and assist yearly stock take.
• Carry out expiration date checking of pharmacy stocks within the working area and medical gases in Dangerous Goods (DG) rooms.
• Ensure drugs are stored at the optimal storage condition by taking regular monitoring of refrigerator temperature, room temperature and humidity. Report to the on-duty pharmacist if there are any abnormal readings and assist the pharmacist to investigate and take any further action if needed.
• Achieve minimum continuing education (CE) points for competency assessment.
• Meet priorities and perform duties as established by the Department Manager.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

Certificate in pharmaceutical study/technology organized by TI or IVE; OR Higher Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology organized by IVE; OR Higher Diploma in Dispensing Studies by IVE; OR Higher Diploma in Pharmaceutical Dispensing Programme by Caritas Bianchi College of Careers; OR BSc. in Pharmacy.
