Job Responsibilities:
Carry out daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment within the nursing home.
Perform routine cleaning including bathrooms, floors, furniture, fixtures and bed preparation.
Support resident comfort by addressing housekeeping-related issues and informing nursing staff of any concerns.
Clean utensils, dining areas and ensure equipment/materials are kept in good working condition.
Handle laundry tasks such as collecting, washing, sorting, folding and organising linens and garments.
Assist with replenishment requests for cleaning materials and equipment.
Maintain tidy and comfortable beds for all residents.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
Ability to carry out general housekeeping tasks in a care home environment.
Comfortable performing cleaning, washing and laundry duties as part of daily work routines.
Able to follow established procedures to ensure cleanliness, safety and proper upkeep of equipment.
Responsible, attentive and able to report issues promptly to supervisors.
Willing to take on additional tasks as required by operations or nursing staff.
