- Must possess computer literacy skills, i.e. Windows –based (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Food and Beverage operations for all catered events while directing the service team during these events. This includes delegating and assigning duties and responsibilities to staff members and monitoring their performance to ensure the accurate and timely service, superior levels of performance and dependable and friendly service to clients and guests.
- The position also requires the ability to both plan and coordinate the event in regards to décor, flair, etc.
- Coordinate all training of current employees and new hire employees on specific job duties.
- Inspection of all work areas and all employee performance and conducts performance reviews as needed.
- Collaborate with other Department Managers
- Develop and assure the proper execution of the schedule.
- Must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays as business dictates.
- Must be able to work in different types of environmental systems including outdoor and indoor functions.
- Create and distribute event orders and distribute change orders.
- Follow-up with clients regarding final guarantees, room setup and other catering details.
- Provide vendor coordination for upcoming functions.
- Work with kitchen staff to plan and create menus for clients.
- Manage and update client information
- Act as liaison between Catering Sales and the Operations Team by disseminating appropriate information as it relates to the meeting and/or event.
- Maintain strong client relations and ensure that meeting/event specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience
- Additional duties as assigned.
