Job Description
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Sous Chef, serves in a lead capacity providing guidance and direction to support the culinary management team
- Assists in assigning and coordinating all aspects of food production, participating in food preparation, food presentation, and cooking activities of menu items and specials in Colony Kitchen
- Review assignments, anticipate business levels, changes and other information pertinent to job performance with supervisor
- Assigns and coordinates daily production and prep work of kitchen staff, ensuring all assignments are completed
- Inspect the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and working condition of the service areas and work stations including all tools, equipment and supplies, rectifying deficiencies as needed
- Monitors performance of kitchen staff and ensures that all procedures are completed to standard, addressing any and all performance concerns with their immediate supervisor
- Ensures that production schedule, assigned duties, and pars are sufficient to meet daily needs
