Job Description

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities :

- SAFETY:

To create policies to protect employer’s assets and keep employees safe with high safety standards at work sites
To establish SOPs for effective implementation of safe work methods
To carry out monitoring, measuring, reporting and reviewing of key performance objectives and targets
To conduct regular inspection at site(identify workplace hazards), internal audit, report and recommend to HOD/ Management for any non-compliance and to implement corrective measure
Prepare safety plan, check list, control, analyze, propose and safety report
To conduct an investigation in the event of an accident at the workplace
Ensure safety-related training records, accident reports and other documents are completed and stored properly
Enforce health, safety and environment regulations
To comply with ISO 9001 requirement& documentation
Interact with local authorities to ensure compliance with various codes and requirements
Liase with contractors personnel on reporting, investigation and follow up incidents
Perform various other duties as assigned

-SECURITY:

To administer security systems, policies and procedures in compliance with Company directives & guidelines
Leads and monitor performance of the security guards on duty as per contract expectations
Ensure the physical safety of employees and visitors
Implement disciplinary actions & investigate security and employees breaches
Administer gate pass / goods pass against unauthorized intrusion into KOMT premises
Establish and manage positive relationships with local law enforcement and other related government agencies
Maintain security system and equipment to ensure effective operational condition in the protection of KOMT assets at all times
Ensure proper reporting of malfunction for prompt repair/replacement
Administer general and emergency communication system FACILITY
Scheduled inspection of entire factory and office building to identify general corrective maintenance for proper maintenance and operations
To ensure all Company assets function in good condition at all times
To coordinate the activities with HOD and HR staff who are responsible to manage and monitor Company facilities
Report deficiencies and recommend areas for improvement to management
Ensure foreign workers hostel cleanliness, workers’ welfare, upkeep & ensure availability of hostel utilities & facilities, arrangement for visits to Company Clinic or to the hospital in the event of emergency cases

Requirements :

At least a Certificate of completion in NIOSH for Safety & Health Officer Course recognize by JKKP or Diploma in Management Discipline
Minimum age 35 and above
Minimum 3 years experience as a safety or security coordinator
Highly ethical, ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
Mature, pro-active, resourceful and able to handle multi-disciplines work
Proven ability to coordinate and lead others, solve problems, and work under schedule
To act as a secretary to the Safety & Health Committee
Computer literate with the ability to use MS Office effectively
Language(s) : English, Bahasa Malaysia & Chinese Possess own transport
Willing to work long hours
Willing to work in Simpang Rengam,Johor
Able to start immediately
