• Proven experience as a Project Manager in system implementation projects

• Prior experience implementing payroll systems

• Strong experience working with external vendors, including managing delivery challenges

• Solid understanding and hands-on application of Waterfall project methodology

• Ability to work in a hybrid environment(minimum3 days onsite per week)

• Must be based in Malaysia

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of a payroll system, working closely with smaller vendors and internal stakeholders. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with a target go-live. This position requires strong vendor coordination skills and the ability to manage challenges during implementation under a Waterfall delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll system implementation using Waterfall methodology

• Coordinate and manage delivery with smaller / niche vendors

• Act as the primary point of contact between business users, IT, and vendors

• Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies

• Manage project plans, milestones, timelines, and documentation

• Drive UAT, cutover planning, and go-live readiness

• Escalate vendor or delivery challenges proactively to ensure project continuity

• Ensure onsite engagement with stakeholders during critical project phases
