Jobs Kreate is recruiting on behalf of a client for a shipboard Galley Utility position. The successful candidate will clean and maintain galley areas, operate cleaning equipment safely and support daily kitchen operations onboard.

Important: Cruise ship grading may differ from land-based hospitality structures. Candidates may be offered a position one or two ranks below their current land-based role, subject to the cruise line’s assessment and operational requirements.

• Open to Malaysian and Singaporean citizens only.

• This is a full-time position. Part-time applications will not be considered.

• Hospitality experience or relevant training is preferred.

• Able to operate assigned cleaning equipment and machinery.

• Able to handle authorised cleaning chemicals safely and follow operating procedures.

• Good English communication skills.

• Additional language abilities are an advantage.

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

• Able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per day, 7 days per week while onboard.

• Flexible, dependable and able to work effectively under pressure.

• Professional appearance and high personal hygiene standards.

• Good knowledge of public health, sanitation and workplace safety procedures.

Salary

• Salary: USD 950

• Contract duration: 6 months

• Clean and maintain galley areas according to the assigned cleaning schedule.

• Handle cleaning materials, authorised chemicals and machinery safely.

• Operate shipboard cleaning equipment according to standard procedures.

• Maintain the cleanliness and working condition of galley cleaning equipment.

• Report damaged or faulty equipment to the relevant supervisor.

• Ensure assigned areas meet public health and sanitation requirements.

• Assist with loading and handling provisions when instructed.

• Wear the required PPE and apply safe lifting techniques during relevant duties.

• Minimise equipment loss or damage and protect company property.

• Follow all onboard public health, environmental, safety, security and emergency procedures.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Kitchen Steward, Head Cleaner or Executive Chef.
