Requirements
Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR generalist or HR business partnering capacity.
Strong hands-on experience in performance management, recruitment, employee engagement, and learning & development.
Experience working closely with management and department heads on people-related matters.
Experience supporting multiple locations or business units will be an added advantage.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial automation, or technology-related industries will have an advantage.
Good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
Hands-on experience in Performance Management Systems, KPI setting, and performance review processes.
Strong recruitment and talent sourcing capabilities.
Experience in planning and executing employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Experience in Learning & Development and training coordination.
Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Able to work independently and take ownership of HR initiatives from planning through execution.
Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing organization.
Willing to travel between Penang and Kuala Lumpur when required.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, onboarding, and probation confirmation.
Drive and coordinate the company's Performance Management System (PMS), including KPI setting, performance reviews, appraisal cycles, and follow-up action plans.
Partner with management and department heads on manpower planning, talent requirements, employee performance, and people-related matters.
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, town halls, recognition programs, team activities, and retention initiatives.
Manage Learning & Development activities, including training needs analysis, annual training plans, internal and external training coordination, and training effectiveness.
Support leadership and employee development initiatives to strengthen organizational capabilities and succession planning.
Provide HR advisory and support to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and workplace matters.
Review and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, processes, and practices to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Support HR reporting, manpower analysis, HR budgeting, and people-related data for management review.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and relevant labour regulations.
Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations and provide support across different HR functions when required.
Lead or support strategic HR initiatives and special projects assigned by Management.
Support both Penang and Kuala Lumpur operations, with occasional travel between locations when required.
