• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or related fields.

• Professional certifications (ICA / CAMS / Compliance certifications) preferred.

• 3–10 years experience in compliance, AML, regulatory affairs, risk management, or a related function.

• Strong familiarity with at least one regulatory environment or international regulatory framework.

• Experience in FinTech, digital financial services, regulated technology platforms, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.

1. Regulatory & Licensing Compliance

• Lead overall compliance framework for the business.

• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and external professional advisors where required.

• Manage the regulatory lifecycle, including applications, renewals, ongoing compliance, and regulatory submissions.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.

2. AML / CFT & MLRO Function

• Establish and enhance AML / KYC / CDD / EDD frameworks.

• Develop risk-based AML policies and procedures.

• Act as MLRO (if applicable).

• Prepare and submit relevant regulatory reports.

• Monitor suspicious transactions and client behaviors.

3. Client & Platform Compliance

• Oversee customer and business onboarding processes.

• Monitor unusual or potentially high-risk activity.

• Work closely with Operations, Risk, and Technology team on control rules.

• Handle client complaints and regulatory escalations.

4. Product & Business Compliance

• Review new products, services, and business initiatives from a compliance perspective.

• Assess regulatory and compliance risks associated with new products and technology solutions.

• Review the compliance implications of automated tools, digital services, and data-driven solutions.

• Review marketing and promotional materials to ensure that they do not contain misleading or inappropriate claims.

• Provide compliance advisory to product & growth teams.

5. Internal Control & Audit

• Develop internal compliance framework and SOPs.

• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments.

• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.

6. Data Protection & Privacy

• Ensure compliance with GDPR / PDPA.

• Oversee client data protection and cross-border data handling.
