Valid GDL driving license with a clean driving record.

Proven experience as a Lorry Driver or in a similar role, preferably with experience in transporting goods within Malaysia.

Familiarity with traffic laws, road regulations, and safety procedures in Malaysia.

Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.

Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for loading, securing, and unloading cargo.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Willingness to work flexible hours, to meet delivery schedules.

Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality and job completion.

Safely operate and drive lorries to transport goods and materials to various destinations according to schedule and delivery routes.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels, and report any mechanical issues or defects.

Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details, completing all necessary paperwork and electronic records.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.

Provide excellent customer service by being punctual, courteous, and professional during deliveries and interactions.

Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning to ensure the lorry remains in good working condition.

Navigate using GPS devices and maps, adapting routes as necessary due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances.

Report any accidents, incidents, or violations immediately to the supervisor and follow established procedures for reporting.
