Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, Islamic Studies, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 yearsof relevant working experience, with at least2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Experience in NGOs, humanitarian organizations, advocacy, public affairs, or strategic communications is highly preferred.

• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken). Arabic is an added advantage.

• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and public speaking skills.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.

• Strategic thinker with strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Willing to travel locally and internationally when required.

Key Responsibilities

Advocacy & Strategic Communications

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies aligned with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.

• Lead awareness campaigns on humanitarian and social issues.

• Prepare advocacy papers, policy briefs, official statements, speeches, and position papers.

• Represent the organization in meetings, forums, seminars, and strategic engagements where required.

Publications & Content Management

• Oversee the development and publication of annual reports, impact reports, newsletters, magazines, brochures, articles, and other official publications.

• Ensure all publications maintain high editorial standards, accuracy, and consistency with the organization's branding.

• Coordinate with the Media Creative Department on publication design and content production.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, universities, corporate partners, media organizations, and international stakeholders.

• Coordinate strategic collaborations related to advocacy initiatives.

Leadership & Management

• Lead and supervise the Advocacy & Publications team.

• Develop departmental work plans, KPIs, and annual budgets.

• Monitor team performance and ensure timely delivery of departmental objectives.

• Foster collaboration with other departments to support organizational campaigns and programmes.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all publications and advocacy materials comply with organizational policies and applicable legal requirements.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization's reputation through responsible communication.

• Conduct in-depth research on humanitarian issues and geopolitical contexts relevant to Gaza.

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy and public opinion.

• Monitor and analyze relevant news, reports, and policy developments.

• Draft advocacy materials, including policy briefs, position papers, and reports.

• Engage with policymakers, government officials, and other stakeholders to promote the organization's agenda.

• Organize and participate in advocacy events, workshops, and campaigns.

• Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations and civil society actors.
