Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably within the trading or premium gift industry.
Proven expertise in managing full sets of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
Proficiency in financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Strong understanding and practical application of accounting principles and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Experience with accounting software (specify if known, e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
Demonstrated ability in budget management, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in sales and negotiation, particularly as it relates to financial aspects of premium gift procurement or sales.
Solid bookkeeping skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
Ability to handle invoicing processes efficiently and accurately.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication and reporting.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and variance analyses, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models, monitoring performance against targets and identifying areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations, maintaining meticulous records and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax consultants, to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with tax laws.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, and process automation, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency.
