Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent).
Professional qualification or membership will be an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as working with a tax agent on tax filing.
Experience in the property development or construction industry will be an added advantage.
Good working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and tax laws.
Good understanding of cash flow and performance projections, treasury and dealings with banks.
Exposure in listed companies is an added advantage.
Good command of English, both spoken and written.
Mature, committed, meticulous, prioritise deadlines, and has a penchant to upskill.
Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts for assigned companies, including comprehensive notes, supporting schedules, commentaries, project cost tabulations, and Percentage of Completion (POC) computations.
Preparation of annual statutory financial statements, including drafting statutory accounts with complete notes and supporting schedules for audit, and finalising the accounts for execution thereafter.
Submission of all necessary information and management of all audit matters relating to the entities under his/her portfolio.
Preparation and processing of periodic and ad hoc payments.
Monitoring and tracking collections through the accounting system, with regular follow-up and coordination with the Sales Administration Department.
Interpret and apply accounting standards, tax legislation, and the Companies Act in carrying out the scope of duties.
Monthly computation of tax charges/credits, preparation of tax estimates and revised estimates, monitoring of tax instalments, and follow-up on tax refunds and other taxation matters, including transfer pricing documentation.
Preparation and periodic updating of project cash flow forecasts for management reporting and financing purposes.
Preparation of the annual budget.
Preparation of presentation slides and supporting materials for Directors' Meetings.
Liaise with tax agents, Company Secretaries, solicitors, and other professional advisers as required.
Assist in preparing and providing information for the submission of periodic reports to the Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT).
Attend to Group-level assignments, including the compilation of Group receivables, payables, tax positions, and responses for annual banking reviews relating to the Group's banking facilities.
Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the Group's financial accounts.
