Requirements
- Degree holder in accounting or related disciplines
- Preferable Professional Certificates eg : ACCA, CIMA, CPA,MIA is advantages
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Experience in construction industry with costing/finance knowledge would be added advantage
- 3-5 years’ relevant accounting/ audit experience
- Familiar with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ERP systems
- Good interpersonal, analytical and problems solving skills
- Self-starter, proactive, responsible and detail-oriented
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Frequent overseas travel and long-term stays are required**
Responsibilities
- The Position is responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting. They work closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure the financial health and success of projects.
- Oversee project cost control and ensure accurate cost coding aligned with BQ and project budgets
- Monitor budget vs actual costs, forecast final project cost, and analyze cost variances
- Coordinate with QS and project teams on VO costing, claims, and cost recovery
- Prepare and review monthly project commercial and cost reports
- Prepare consolidated project costing with intercompany elimination
- Analyze tax implications related to construction projects, including company tax, SST/VAT/GST, withholding tax, and cost deductibility
- Advise management on tax impact of variations, claims, and project structures
- Strengthening cost control, tax awareness, and internal control processes
- Perform any other duties or special assignments required by senior management.
