Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from planning to completion.

• Plan, supervise, and interpret geotechnical site investigations and laboratory testing.

• Perform geotechnical analysis for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, embankments, and earthworks.

• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Design shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement works, excavation support systems, and slope stabilization measures.

• Provide technical advice during project planning, construction, and site inspections.

• Review contractor submissions, method statements, and construction drawings.

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian standards, Eurocodes, and relevant engineering regulations.

• Coordinate with structural, civil, and infrastructure engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.

• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.

• Attend project meetings, site visits, and resolve technical issues during construction.

• Maintain quality assurance and ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule.
  
  Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.

  • Registered Professional Engineer (Ir.) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

  • Min 10 years experience

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from planning through construction.

• Conduct and review geotechnical site investigations, soil and rock assessments, and field testing programs.

• Interpret geotechnical investigation data and prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.

• Perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, foundation design, retaining structures, earthworks, settlement, seepage, and ground improvement.

• Design shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, embankments, excavation support systems, and ground stabilization solutions.

• Review and approve geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, Eurocodes, Malaysian Standards, and project specifications.
