Job Description

Requirements

Position Authority

The Workshop Quality & Safety Executive operates independently from day-to-day workshop operations and serves as the Company's independent Quality Assurance function.

The position has the authority to:

  • Approve or reject the operational release of any Company vehicle following maintenance or repair.

  • Issue a "Do Not Release (DNR)" instruction for any vehicle that does not meet the Company's quality or safety standards.

  • Require all identified defects to be satisfactorily rectified before a vehicle is released for operations.

Any override of a DNR instruction shall require Management approval.

Job Purpose

Every truck leaving our workshop represents our commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.

The Workshop Quality & Safety Executive is responsible for ensuring every repair, maintenance and servicing activity is completed to the highest standards before a vehicle returns to service.

As the Company's independent Quality Assurance function, this role safeguards the quality of repairs, protects the safety of our drivers and other road users, and supports a culture of continuous improvement across the workshop.

Working closely with the Workshop team, Fleet Operations and Safety Officer, the incumbent investigates quality incidents, identifies root causes and drives corrective and preventive actions that strengthen fleet reliability, reduce repeat repairs and minimise roadside breakdowns.

Success in this role is measured not simply by inspections completed, but by ensuring every vehicle leaving the workshop is safe, reliable and roadworthy.

SUPER-HERO Profile

We are looking for someone who believes that quality is not just about finding defects—it is about preventing failures and protecting lives.

You take pride in doing the job right the first time, have the confidence to make independent decisions and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety. You enjoy solving problems, uncovering root causes and working collaboratively to improve workshop performance.

If you believe every truck leaving the workshop should be safe, reliable and roadworthy, and you want to make a meaningful impact on fleet safety and operational excellence, we would be excited to welcome you to our team.
