Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in: Ocean Freight Import or Export, Sea Freight Operations, Freight Forwarding, Shipping Coordination, Logistics Operations

  • Knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures is highly preferred.

  • Experience with CargoWise (CW1) or similar freight forwarding systems is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Position : Sea Freight Import / Export

Industry: Freight Forwarder

Work Location: Jalan Batu Maung, DIS3PLEX Free Commercial Zone, 11960 Bayan Lepas, Penang,

Work arrangement: Onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Employment Type : 12 months contract with PERSOL

Salary: RM2,000 - RM2,300 (based on experience & skills)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate export shipment bookings and respond to inquiries from customers, shipping lines, offices, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely and accurate registration of shipments in CargoWise (CW1) and other operational systems.

  • Manage shipping documentation

  • Liaise closely with shipping lines, carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, offices, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.

  • Send shipment pre-alerts and shipping updates to customers and destination offices.

  • Monitor permit declarations and ensure regulatory requirements are met.

  • Handle cargo irregularities, shipment exceptions, and customer escalations in a timely manner.

  • Verify shipment costs, process invoices, and support billing-related inquiries.

  • Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection in accordance with company policies.

  • Support cargo claims, insurance claims, and dispute resolution activities when required.

  • Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with customer SOPs and global operational standards.
