Job Description

Requirements

  • SKM Level 2 / Technical Certificate / Vocational Qualification (Mechanical, Fabrication, Production, or related fields)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in assembly, workshop, production, or plant operations

  • Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing industries is an advantage

  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements

  • Strong practical skills in handling tools and equipment safely

  • Willing to work shifts and support operational needs

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of assembly processes, fitting, alignment, and inspection practices

  • Welding and fabrication skills are highly advantageous

  • Experience with MIG, TIG, Arc, or Flux‑Cored Arc Welding

  • Ability to join components via welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering

  • Basic maintenance and care of tools and welding equipment

Responsibilities

Position: Assembly Operator

Industry: Sustainable renewable energy

Working Location: Jalan Kuala Segan, 97000 Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia

Working Duration: 12 months contract with PERSOL (Renewable based on performance)

Working Mode: On-Site

Working Hours: Shifts – 2 shift systems. 7.00am to 4pm and 3.30pm to 12.30am, 6 days.

Salary: RM2,300 – RM3,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage

OT: Based on requirement & approval

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assemble components, parts, and equipment according to approved drawings, specifications, and work orders

  • Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, grind, fit, align, and prepare materials

  • Inspect materials and components to ensure quality and accuracy

  • Read and follow technical drawings, procedures, and job instructions

  • Identify and report faulty parts, safety hazards, and process issues

  • Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment

  • Monitor, control, and adjust plant systems to maintain optimal performance

  • Record and analyse operational data (temperature, pressure, flow rates, etc.)

  • Respond promptly to alarms, system irregularities, and emergency situations

  • Support preventive maintenance, repairs, and shift handovers

  • Maintain accurate work records and documentation

  • Carry out basic equipment care and minor checks to ensure safe operation

  • Perform welding, fabrication, bolting, riveting, or fitting tasks (where competent)

  • Strictly comply with safety standards, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations
